| Yanmar America Corporation seeks a Senior Application Engineer in Adairsville, GA. Job description as advertised: Serve as the technical leader for customers’ engineering and design teams, ensuring efficient integration of YANMAR engines into applications and maintaining strong partnerships. Conduct customized development for customers aimed at optimizing mounting, including the design of special parts. Evaluate engine mounting suitability and review necessary countermeasures. Serve as the customer point of contact from the development phase through engine mass production. Work with quality assurance teams to provide technical guidance and solutions to address and resolve defects occurring in the market. Support the transfer of engine development functions from the Japan head office to YAC to establish the development infrastructure. Manage comprehensive communication between YAC and Japan headquarters. Analyze North American market and customer needs to support strategy formulation. Provide technical training and instruction to local staff. Minimum Qualifications: The position requires a Master’s degree in Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign educational equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience in Industrial machine engineering related occupation. Position requires any amount of experience in ALL of the following: • Experience in optimizing and customizing engine designs for optimal mounting • Experience in conducting specialized engine development tailored to leading OEM requirements • Experience as the dedicated technical lead for a leading OEM account • Experience with quality assurance testing of mounted industrial engines • Experience with working with cross-functional teams to define and resolve issues • Experience with analyzing market challenges and overseeing production solutions • Experience in supporting operations related to technology transfer to local sites • Experience in providing technical training and instruction to local staff • Experience in collaborating with global or Asia-based teams across significant time zones | ||
