Diesel Technical Coordinator

Adairsville, GA

Yanmar America is looking for a Diesel Technical Coordinator to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced mechanic or technician who enjoys solving problems, helping customers, and using technology to support engine applications. You'll use your mechanical knowledge to support customers, coordinate engine replacement projects, troubleshoot technical issues, and assist with day-to-day operations.

What You'll Do

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers.
• Develop replacement engine specifications for customer applications.
• Review quote requests and prepare customer quotations.
• Track core charge returns and emissions compliance.
• Maintain product information, Bills of Material (BOMs), and inventory records using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
• Configure engine ECU files prior to shipment.
• Assist with inventory control, receiving, stocking, crating, and production support as needed.
• Monitor shop supplies and equipment to keep operations running efficiently.

What We're Looking For

• Five or more years of engine repair, assembly, or diagnostic experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable using computers and learning software such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and parts information.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Forklift experience is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using ERP systems such as AS400 or similar.
• Experience working with PDM systems or product documentation.
• Experience using engine diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work in both office and shop environments.
• Ability to safely lift and move heavy engine components with assistance.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
