Application Engineer

Location: Adairsville, GA
Full-Time | On-Site

We are seeking an Application Engineer who enjoys solving real engineering challenges and working directly with customers, engine systems and advanced technologies. In this role, you will evaluate diesel, gasoline, hybrid and full electric powertrains to ensure they meet performance and application standards. You will collaborate with customers and internal teams, analyze test data and support the design, testing and improvement of products used across a wide range of off-road equipment.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain engine and powertrain specifications based on customer requirements

• Ensure applications meet YANMAR standards for emissions, installation instructions and technical guidelines

• Conduct field testing with data acquisition systems on production intent customer equipment

• Analyze test data and perform engineering calculations

• Recommend improvements for customer systems and support resolution of technical issues

• Manage multiple projects and keep detailed updates in Salesforce

• Create technical documentation for production and finished goods

• Assist Sales, Service and After-Sales teams through engineering analysis and product support

• Support design efforts with calculations, simulations and validation activities

• Partner with Testing teams on prototype builds, component fabrication and dynamometer testing

• Participate in trade shows and communicate with global engineering teams when needed

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field

• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience, including co-ops or internships

• Mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach to engines and powertrains

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to analyze test data and apply engineering principles

• Familiarity with CREO and Windchill is helpful

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint

• Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30 percent

• Ability to work in both office and plant environments and lift up to 20 pounds as needed
