As a Fabricator/Machinist, you will play a key role in manufacturing and maintaining molds including repair and refurbishment. Operating specialized machinery, you will set up, maintain, and operate equipment to produce and repair molds according to precise specifications. Responsible for manufacture or repair of mechanical components related to tire manufacturing equipment. Must demonstrate the ability to read and correctly interpret mechanical drawings and manufacturing blueprints. Candidate will be able to use all common shop metrology instruments, as well as all common shop machinery, including, but not limited to: ID and OD Micrometers, calipers, bore gages, indicators, tape measures, combination set, Manual Lathe, Manual Vertical Lathe, Manual mills, Horizontal boring mills, Surface grinders, Band saws, Sanders, Rigging equipment, etc. to produce or repair parts that conform to prints and mechanical standards. Candidate must maintain a high degree of pride in completed work. Must be able to identify common materials by sight alone.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints related to mold design and repair.
• Set up and operate CNC machines, lathes, grinders, and other equipment to fabricate and repair mold components.
• Perform precision machining operations to achieve required dimensions, surface finishes, and tolerances.
• Inspect and measure completed mold components using precision tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers) to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Repair and refurbish existing molds by identifying and addressing issues such as cracks, wear, or dimensional deviations.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize mold designs for performance and manufacturability.
• Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance tasks and troubleshooting issues as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Document work performed, including repairs and modifications, for traceability and future reference.
