JOB TITLE: Technical Service Representative

DEPARTMENT: Technical Services

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

To provide support on behalf of the company across all product lines to dealers, retailers and end-users. Will provide answers and/or resolve questions regarding products.

THE FOLLOWING DUTIES ARE NECESSARY FOR THE SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE OF THIS JOB:

Stay up to date on all product lines (Carpet and Hard Surfaces) offered over the entirety of the four TDG brands, to support dealers, retailers and end-users.

Answer questions and/or resolve issues for all TDG Carpet and Hard Surfaces products categories; including LVT flooring (WPC & SPC), Laminate and Engineered wood flooring, as needed regarding the following:

  • Product Construction
  • Product Testing
  • Product Comparison for different applications
  • Yarn systems
  • Face weight, pile height, density, twist per inch
  • Environmental impact, indoor air quality, health concerns, PFA’s (forever chemicals), Green Label Plus Certification and industry testing.
  • Cleaning/Spot cleaning
  • Warranty on products
  • Vacuum Cleaner recommendations
  • Pad/Underlayment requirements
  • Installation Questions

To successfully support installers, knowledge and experience of the following are required to troubleshoot issues for product installation of carpet and hard surface:

  • Storage/Handling of products
  • Job Site conditions and preparation
  • Moisture Testing
  • Installation Methods
  • Seaming Techniques

To support Independent Inspectors, you must be able to:

  • Review and/or discuss their reports on product claims.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must be able to prioritize and remain detail oriented with processes.

· Excellent problem-solving skills.

· Be able to establish a positive and productive working environment

· Willingness to give and receive honest feedback

· Good communication skills, judgement, professionalism, strong interpersonal skills and collaborative style. High integrity, tact and a positive attitude.

· Must be able to identify color and determine shade differences

· Must have knowledge of carpet and hard surface installation

· Must have knowledge of carpet manufacturing
