Plant T1 | Tufting | 2nd Shift | Process Technician
Position Overview
Position Overview:
Position Objective: To assist the Tufting Process Engineer with creating process specs, training, running and gathering data for trials, and conducting quality/downtime investigations.
Essential Duties: (Considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge and responsibility.)
Write and update procedures for the department
Assist the technical team with XRs, MTRs, or new potential products being ran and provide feedback on them
Coordinate and schedule training
Aid in quality, safety, and downtime investigations
Provide assistance with die changes and line changeovers
Work on process or quality improvement projects
Manage corrective actions
Assist in performing PM’s or routine maintenance as needed
Recognize individual training needs and address appropriately
Plan and train on SMS
Aid in updating weekly dashboards
Ensure line processing requirements are being met
Non-Essential Duties: (Considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge and responsibility.)
Assist in long range planning activities and projects
Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments
Prioritize work to maximize benefits
Attend meetings as necessary
Serve on teams/committees as needed
Physical Requirements:
Travel between facilities
Ability to communicate with individuals and groups
Ability to remain in one position for up to 8 hours
Ability to read and comprehend reports, literature, instructions in order to communicate to others and apply to the task requirements
Ability to attend seminars and report/act on findings
Work in plant environment (high heat and humidity, automated equipment, labor intensive)
Ability to maneuver in and around equipment to make equipment improvements and inspections continuously throughout a 8 hour day
Must be capable of travelling throughout plant - approximately 3 miles per day
Must be able to distinguish color.
Must be able to distinguish texture variation through sight and touch.
