Shift Supervisor – Nights
White, GA | Full Time | $64,000–$68,000 based on experience
Shift: Nights, 12 hours, 6pm–6am, rotating — every other weekend required
What this job is
You'll run a night shift at our customer's rubber products manufacturing plant in north Georgia, directing one shift lead and about 20 hourly associates who keep production supplied and finished product moving. You report to the Department Manager.
This is a hands-on supervisor role. You'll spend most of your shift on the floor with your team — covering a position when someone's out, jumping on equipment when volume picks up, and staying close enough to the work to catch problems before they slow the line. The people who do well in this seat lead by working alongside their crew, not by managing from a desk.
What you'll do- Run shift start-up, assign work, and hand off cleanly to the next shift
- Adjust staffing and flow so the customer's lines don't stop
- Cover open positions and run equipment when you're short or volume spikes
- Keep your people trained and cross-trained, and bring new hires up to speed
- Walk the floor for safety — unsafe conditions and unsafe habits get corrected on the spot, not written up later
- Report and document injuries, near misses, property damage, and product quality issues the same shift they happen, and secure the area until it's cleared
- Handle attendance, performance, and conduct conversations with your team
- Roll out process changes and make sure they hold
- Escalate what you can't solve, and set the day shift up for success
What we're looking for
- 2+ years running a shift, a work center, or a crew — supervisor, lead, or equivalent
- Experience directing hourly associates in a production, warehouse, or manufacturing support setting
- Comfortable coaching people directly, including the hard conversations
- Able to make a call in the moment with incomplete information and stand behind it
- Reliable on nights and weekends; the rotation is the job, not a phase
- Forklift or material handling equipment experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED required; degree or military experience is a plus, not a requirement
