About the Role:
The Formation Equipment Maintenance role is critical to ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment used in the formation process. The primary objective is to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair machinery to minimize downtime and optimize production quality. This position requires a proactive approach to equipment upkeep, including routine inspections and preventive maintenance to avoid unexpected failures. The role also involves collaborating closely with production teams to understand equipment performance and implement improvements. Ultimately, the successful candidate will contribute to maintaining a safe, reliable, and high-performing manufacturing environment in our Georgia facility.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Valid driver's license and ability to work onsite in Georgia, GA.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields.
- Experience with formation equipment or similar manufacturing machinery.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Basic welding and fabrication skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on formation equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and execute timely repairs to minimize production interruptions.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify equipment performance issues and recommend improvements.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records and report on equipment status, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all maintenance activities.
Skills:
The required skills enable the candidate to effectively diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing processes. Proficiency in reading technical documentation allows for accurate troubleshooting and maintenance planning. Preferred skills such as experience with CMMS facilitate efficient tracking of maintenance activities and inventory management. Welding and fabrication skills support custom repairs and modifications when necessary. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for coordinating with production and engineering teams to enhance equipment performance and safety.
