Elevated Steel is a fast-growing structural steel fabrication and erection company seeking a Logistics Manager to take ownership of our shipping, receiving, and yard operations. This is a leadership role for someone who understands the urgency, coordination, and accountability required to move steel safely and efficiently.

We are not looking for someone to just “manage shipments”—we need someone who can own the process, lead a team, and drive results.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all shipping, receiving, and yard operations from start to finish
Manage and coordinate outbound deliveries, inbound materials, and jobsite logistics
Schedule and communicate with trucking companies, vendors, and internal teams
Ensure all loads meet company and customer requirements (securement, documentation, timing)
Maintain accurate records of:
Bills of Lading (BOLs)
Packing lists
Delivery confirmations
PO numbers and job assignments
Work closely with Production, Project Managers, and Purchasing to prioritize loads
Lead and manage yard personnel, forklift/lull operators, and shipping staff
Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with all regulations
Identify and resolve delays, discrepancies, and shipping issues quickly
Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, or yard management
Experience in steel fabrication, construction, or heavy industrial environments strongly preferred
Proven ability to lead a team and hold people accountable
Strong understanding of:
Flatbed/conestoga shipping
Load securement
Freight coordination
Jobsite delivery logistics
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Strong organizational and communication skills
Experience with systems (ERP, shipping logs, or software like PowerFab) is a plus
