Position: General Maintenance Technician. Description: General Maintenance Technician - Electrical experience preferred. Classified Position, 240 Days, pay grade (M7-Craftsman I), with hourly rate depending upon relevant work experience. Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor. Job Summary: To perform general maintenance jobs under the direction and supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor. Responsibilities include: Assists other technicians and sub-contractors as needed; Assists in estimating labor and material costs; Completes and maintains all required paperwork and records of work orders; Maintains all tools; Responsible for maintaining and operating a system vehicle, if provided; Is accessible and considered on-call 24/7; Adheres to School Board policies and professional/ethical practices; Complies with reasonable requests from Maintenance Supervisor or appropriate administrator; Demonstrates excellent attendance and punctuality. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED with relevant training and/or experience; valid Georgia driver’s license; good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
