Minimum Qualifications: Must possess a valid Georgia Clear Renewable Certificate in School Psychology. Must be well versed in technology and in the RTI process.Required Education: Specialist Degree in School PsychologyCertification/Licensure: Must hold or be eligible for S-5 certification in School Psychology; S-6 or S-7 in School Psychology preferredExperience Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience in the psychology fieldTerms of Employment: 190-day contract position, state salary schedule plus local supplement. Certified Salaries: https://www.cartersvilleschools.org/departments/financial-services/salary-schedulesReports to: Director of Exceptional ServicesSummary: Provides a continuum of psychological services that support regular and special educational students ages 2 through 21, as well as the overall school program; responsibilities may include counseling, consultation with parents, teachers, counselors, social workers, special education providers, administrative staff, and outside agencies, as well as assessment, program planning, direct or supervised intervention.Essential Duties: Consults with school personnel identifying students who have learning and/or adjustment difficulties; conducts comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations; documents evaluation results and completes required reports within Federal, State, and local timelines; consults and communicates with teachers, parents, and school personnel regarding results and links evaluative data to appropriate student interventions; provides psychological services through district/department/school committees including eligibility meetings; participates in decision-making for appropriate services; provides crisis intervention; participates in data collection and evaluation of services and programs; adheres to Federal, State, and local guidelines; participates on Student Support Teams; may supervise school psychology interns; conducts in-service training; engages in professional development; performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Proficiency in psychological and psychometric instruments; strong understanding of child development, special education, classroom dynamics and instructional strategies; ability to manage multiple tasks; strong critical thinking; collaboration skills; excellent written and verbal communication.Physical Demands: Routine physical activity associated with normal office and school environment.Application Procedure: Candidates must complete the system application at https://www.applitrack.com/cartersville/onlineapp/.
