Minimum Qualifications: Must possess a valid Georgia Clear Renewable Certificate in School Psychology; well versed in technology and the RTI process. Required Education: Specialist Degree in School Psychology. Certification Licensure: Must hold or be eligible for S-5 certification in School Psychology; S-6 or S-7 preferred. Experience Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience in the psychology field. Terms of Employment: 190-day contract; state salary schedule plus local supplement: https://www.cartersvilleschools.org/departments/financial-services/salary-schedules. Reports to: Director of Exceptional Services. Summary: Provides a continuum of psychological services supporting regular and special education students ages 2 through 21; responsibilities include counseling, consultation, assessment, program planning, and intervention. Essential Duties: Consult with school personnel; conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations; document results and complete required reports; communicate with teachers and parents to link data to interventions; provide services on district and school committees; participate in decision-making; provide crisis intervention; collect and evaluate data for program effectiveness; adhere to guidelines; participate on Student Support Teams; supervise interns as necessary; conduct in-service training; update and expand professional skills; perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge Skills Abilities: Proficiency with psychological instruments; understanding of child development, special education, classroom dynamics and instructional strategies; manage multiple tasks; strong collaboration and communication skills. Physical Demands: Routine physical activity in normal office and school environments.
