Position Title: School Nutrition Assistant. Effective Date: 2025-2026 school year, 183-day position. Reports to: School Nutrition Manager. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED desired; previous school cafeteria experience preferred. Performance Responsibilities: Participates in the preparation, cooking, and serving of food; stores and cares for foods and supplies; cleans, services and cares for equipment and facilities; checks invoices and inventory; records inventory numbers properly; follows daily work schedule and uses standardized recipes; plans for use of leftovers; keeps work areas neat and clean; demonstrates prompt and regular attendance; displays a positive attitude and enjoys serving young people; attends in-service programs; performs other duties relating to preparation and serving of food and general cleaning as assigned; complies with directives of the food service manager or other administrator.
