Position Title: School Nutrition Assistant. Effective Date: 2026-2027 school year, 183-day position. Reports to: School Nutrition Manager. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED certificate is desired. Previous school cafeteria experience preferred. Performance Responsibilities: Participates in the preparation, cooking, and serving of food; Stores and cares for foods and supplies; Cleans, services and cares for equipment and facilities; Checks invoices and inventory; Records inventory properly; Follows daily work schedule and uses standardized recipes; Plans for use of left-overs; Keeps work areas neat and clean; Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance; Displays a positive attitude and enjoys serving young people; Attends in-service programs; Performs other duties relating to preparation/serving of food and general cleaning as assigned; Complies with directives of the food service manager or other administrator.
