Description: Band Director - Cartersville Middle School, 190 Day Position. Job Summary: Plan, facilitate, and implement the instrumental music curriculum and instruction in the assigned grade levels, including promoting the band program; effectively communicating with parents, students and the community; preparing and facilitating material orders, instrument and equipment repair; coordinating performance schedules with other school activities; scheduling transportation for performances; establishing and maintaining a quality band program including extra-curricular performances; developing and maintaining parental support groups. Qualifications: Possess or be eligible for valid Georgia teaching certification in Music; prefer at least 2+ years successful experience working full time as a school band director.
