Title: Programs & Events Director
Reports to: CEO
Position Type: Full Time

The Programs and Events Director is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all Chamber programs and events, ensuring they align with the organization’s mission and strategic goals. This role plays a vital part in member engagement, sponsorship fulfillment, and community impact through high-quality programming and events.

This role plays a vital part in member engagement, sponsorship fulfillment, and community impact through high-quality programming and events.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Management
- Plan and execute all Chamber events and programs including but limited to Annual Meeting - Quarterly Luncheons - Golf Tournament – Cookout – Manufacturer's Appreciation Week – Leadership Bartow – Youth Leadership Bartow - Peer Groups - Bartow Business Women – HR Academy – Business After Hours
- Coordinate event logistics including venue, catering, décor, AV, registration, signage, and program content.
- Develop and manage event budgets; ensure cost-effective planning and strong ROI.
- Secure and manage event sponsors and partners, ensuring fulfillment of all recognition and benefits.
Program Development
- Evaluate and enhance existing programs and develop new initiatives to meet member needs.
- Collaborate with internal staff and committees to align programs with strategic priorities.
Marketing & Communication
- Oversee event registration and invoicing through the Chamber’s CRM.
- Work with internal staff to develop promotional materials and communications for events and programs.
- Ensure timely and accurate updates to the website, social media, and newsletters regarding upcoming events.
- Direct internal staff and volunteers in the set up and execution of programs and events.
Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for event-related inquiries.
- Coordinate and schedule committee meetings and planning sessions.
- Cultivate relationships with sponsors, community partners, and volunteers.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for all.
Administrative Duties
- Track event attendance, participant feedback, and engagement metrics.
- Prepare reports and evaluations post-event to inform future planning.
- Maintain records of sponsorships, contracts, and logistics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in event management, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in event planning (preferred).
- Self-starter with a high level of initiative and attention to detail.
- Ability to self-direct workload, prioritize duties, and move projects forward.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems (e.g., ChamberMaster), and online platforms.
- Ability to work varied hours depending on event demands.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods during events.
- Must have reliable transportation.
