POSITION TITLE: Paraprofessional - ISS for the 2026-2027 School Year

LOCATION(S): Cass MS

START DATE: August 3, 2026

JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides instructional assistance and encouragement to students to complete their daily assignments. Assists in the evaluation of student needs and in the preparation of appropriate materials and lessons in collaboration with certificated personnel. Maintains discipline in the ISS classroom. Provides concise written and/or oral communications to teachers and administrators about student’s efforts on assignments and other pertinent information. Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance. Performs other duties as requested and required.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION OR TRAINING: High school diploma. Must hold or be able to obtain a Paraprofessional License issued through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.

SKILLS: Ability to exercise sound, independent judgment, including handling of confidential matters. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, with courtesy and respect.

EXPERIENCE: Previous experience working in the classroom preferred.
