The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading and managing all maintenance, planning and storeroom operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the facility and equipment on a 24/7 basis. This role provides strategic direction, hands‑on leadership, and on‑call support to minimize downtime, ensure regulatory compliance, and always support uninterrupted business operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Industrial maintenance degree, Electrical Certification and/or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years’ manufacturing plant experience
  • Experience as a multi-craft technician including mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, basic machine shop and welding, and electronic control systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc..)
  • Demonstrate developing and growing a team
  • Skills with process improvements techniques and tools
  • Knowledge of precision, preventative, and predictive maintenance processes (vibration analysis, thermal imaging, laser alignments)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair all equipment in a production environment
  • Must follow safety guidelines and wear applicable safety equipment, e.g., safety glasses, side shields, approved safety shoes, and other PPE
  • Proficiency in the safe and proper use of all test equipment and all power or hand tools
  • Knowledge of lubrication types and applications

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Be a role model for safety. Promote a zero-injury work culture and find ways to continuously improve safety culture in the workplace
  • Coordinate scheduling employees in the event of PTO and necessary scheduled changes with the Maintenance staff
  • Participate in the hiring process, recognizing and recruiting good candidates, and ensuring that employees are properly trained
  • Ensure all employees follow proper procedures and organize workflow
  • Communicate effectively with Supervisors company-wide on departmental concerns and respond to plant needs
  • Support line operations to achieve key performance measures (ex: Sq ft/hr, quality, cost, downtime, and scrap)
  • Maintain accurate records, manage monthly budget and spend closely with plant leadership. This includes man hours and M&R
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Order materials and equipment necessary for continuing operation
  • Train, oversee, and coach employees, including maintaining time records
  • Be a good resource for employees and listen to and address their concerns and needs
  • Train employees on how to safely use machinery and ensure employees are following procedures
  • Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards
  • Communicate, adhere to, and enforce company policies and procedures
  • Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace
  • Perform any other duties that may be required or assigned
  • Communicate and coordinate with all technical teams

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Able to be perceptive and have a strong awareness of surroundings to identify potential risks and communicate these risks to employees
  • Successful track record of achieving plant operational goals
  • Demonstrated knowledge, understanding, and implementation of process improvement methodologies, including Lean and Six Sigma
  • Experience driving and supporting innovative manufacturing systems
  • Experience supporting and implementing organization development and human resources initiatives
  • Business knowledge of budget, asset and cost structure management
  • Excellent organizational and teamwork skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Occasionally move up to 80 lbs., by pushing, pulling, and lifting
  • Frequent walking, standing, stretching, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, grasping, and repetitive movements
  • Ability to read and effectively communicate both by spoken and written words
  • Ability to enforce and wear mandated PPE as required by the job assignment
